Caz Bzdek is an American author, entrepreneur, musician, and mental health advocate based in Denver, Colorado, whose life and work sit at the intersection of music, accountability, and redemption.

A prodigious performer, Bzdek began playing piano in nursing homes at the age of six, using piano not as entertainment alone, but as connection and care. By fourteen, he had founded his first entertainment company. As a teenager, Bzdek’s musical talent led him to perform at Disney properties, including a live performance for The Mickey Mouse Club at age fifteen. While the performance was not televised, the experience marked an early milestone in his development as a professional musician. And at twenty-one he was recognized with a Young Entrepreneur Award, marking the start of a career defined by innovation, leadership, and creative impact. He later founded Dueling Pianos Road Show, which grew into one of the most recognizable piano-based entertainment brands in the country.

Alongside his business success, Bzdek’s life includes profound personal reckoning. After making serious financial mistakes, he took full responsibility for his actions, completed the legal process, and paid restitution in full. Rather than retreat, he committed himself to service, rehabilitation, and rebuilding both his own life and the lives of others.
While incarcerated, Bzdek helped build multiple music rooms and educational programs inside correctional facilities, bringing structure, creativity, and dignity to incarcerated individuals through music. This work later expanded beyond prison walls with the founding of Music Therapy Mobile, a nonprofit dedicated to making music-based healing accessible to underserved populations. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Realness Project, a nonprofit focused on relational leadership, accountability, and community safety.

Bzdek is the author of the forthcoming memoir JailSong: A Story Lived Backwards, a deeply personal account centered on redemption, accountability, altruism, and the transformative power of music. The book traces his life in reverse starting with reflection and responsibility, and moving toward the origins of talent, ambition, and purpose.

Today, Caz Bzdek is a sought-after speaker, performer, and advocate, using his story to challenge stigma, inspire perseverance, and demonstrate what is possible when truth, service, and resilience guide the way forward.
“I made serious mistakes, took full responsibility, and rebuilt my life through music, service, and never giving up.”
